OFSTED
What is OFSTED?
OFSTED is the government body responsible for inspecting schools and the quality of education they provide.
Currently they inspect schools in relation to the following areas;
- Effectiveness of leadership and management
- Quality of teaching, learning and assessment
- Personal development, behaviour and welfare
- Outcomes for pupils
- Early years provision
It is improtant to remember that any report is a reflection of a school at that particular time and schools continue to evolve. An OFSTED report can give you an idea of how the school is doing but we would always recommend any prospective parents to visit a school before making a choice relating to your childs education.
