We are thrilled to announce the new wraparound provision for pupils of Shrubland Street Primary School.

The provision is made up of a breakfast session from 7.45am till 8.40am and 2 after school sessions – 3.15pm until 4.30pm and 4.30pm until 5.45pm.

Children will be collected and brought to the club at 3.15pm and parents may collect at any time until 5.45pm. If children attend any clubs after school, they may attend the wraparound provision following their club from 4.30pm to 5.45pm.

The cost of each session is as follows:

Breakfast Club:

  • 7:45am until school day starts (Session 1) £5.00

Including a range of cereal, toast, fruit, breakfast bars and drinks.

After School Club

  • 3:15 until 4.30pm pickup (Session 1)  £5.50
  • 3:15 until 5:45pm pickup (Session 2) £10.50
  • 4:30 until 5:45pm pickup (Session 5) £6.50

Including a range of sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, toast, biscuits, fruit and drinks. (With occasional popcorn/pizza nights)

We adhere to any individual dietary requirements and aim to cater for all.

All sessions can be booked via the School Money website or App. We accept some types of childcare vouchers so please get in touch with us to find out if you can use these.

After school sessions need to be booked by midnight of the day before you require a place. There is a late fee for booking on after this.

A late fee of £5.00 will be incurred if children are collected later than 5.45pm and parents/carers will be charged for missed sessions without providing 24 hours notice.

Managing the provision is Debbie Fraser who is supported by Miss Fraser, Miss Hockin and Miss Kiszely.

Debbie Fraser - Shrub Club Manager

‘Our aim is for children to be supported in their own chosen play, rather than having activities presented to them. We encourage children to communicate and develop their social interaction with others of different ages. Activities such as gardening, cooking, model-making and role play develop their imagination, and there will always be opportunities to let off steam outside - playing football or cricket etc. If a child wishes to make a huge Lego model every evening, that’s fine too, as we want to recreate a home-from-home atmosphere. Any cooking or craft activities are always included in the session fee.’
